The elderly Kurdish “Ali Ahmed” (74 years) lost his life after being severely beaten by settlers who were caring for sheep in his field.

“Ali” is a resident of “Medanky” village in Sharan district in Afrin countryside.

“Ali” had asked the shepherds to keep the herd away from the trees of his field because the sheep hurt the trees that started to bear fruit.

The discussion turned into a verbal argument between the settlers and “Ali”, according to the settlers ’claim that this land became their land because it was liberated with the blood of their martyrs and that there is no right for the Kurds in Afrin and they must leave it.

The verbal argument turned to beating the Kurdish elderly in a brutal manner on his head by the settlers, which led to severe bleeding in the brain.

Ali was taken to a hospital in Afrin, where he lost his life on the way as a result of being severely beaten.

This is the second incident of its kind during the past two days after the strangulation of the Kurdish elderly woman, “Fatima Kinna” and the theft of her jewelry in the village of “Haikjeh”
