The displaced people of Afrin in al-Shahba areas have been suffering from a suffocating siege on them, and the entry of food supplies, flour, medicine and fuel has been prevented and they have been prevented from traveling to Aleppo for nearly six months for unknown reasons.

At the same time, the opposition factions, the Syrian armed factions, backed by the Turkish occupation, prevent them from returning to their homes.

The displaced of Afrin, who live in Al-Ahdath area in the countryside of Aleppo, went out in a protest at a checkpoint of the Fourth Division of the Syrian government army.

The protesters attacked the checkpoint, demanding that the siege be lifted and that supplies be allowed to enter al-Shahba areas.

With the advent of winter, people fear that it will be difficult to secure diesel and gas, which has negatively affected the furnaces and many of them have stopped working.

The siege imposed on the areas of al-Shahba will have many consequences that the displaced people will face in the camps, as it may lead to a halt in pumping water into the camps and the cessation of Afrin Hospital.

Afrin Hospital is the only hospital in the region that provides free treatment, and due to the blockade, it may stop working as the generators supplying the hospital with electrical energy have stopped working.
