Broiler prices drop in the city of Al-Hasakah
On Sunday, the city of Al-Hasakah witnessed a significant decrease in broiler prices by ten thousand Syrian pounds per kilo.
Traders and owners of chicken shops told ASO News Network that the price of one kilogram of chicken has decreased significantly to 20,000 Syrian pounds.
The reason for the decline is due to speculation among merchants, as two days ago prices reached 28,000 Syrian pounds per kilo.
The regions of Al-Jazira witness large differences in the prices of chickens, as they are sold in Qamishlo for 28,000 Syrian pounds, while the price in Amuda reaches 30,000 Syrian pounds.
This variation in prices reflects the state of competition and fluctuation in the region’s markets, according to traders.
During the recent period, the region witnessed the death of thousands of chickens in poultry farms, due to the spread of Newcastle disease, which is a highly contagious viral disease transmitted between birds through the air, water, contaminated feed, and breeding tools.
