The Syrian Ministry of Human Development announced on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, the reinstatement of thousands of former teachers and employees who had been dismissed for years during the rule of the former Syrian regime.

According to a private source from the Raqqa Directorate of Education speaking to ASO News Network, the decision includes more than 14,000 male and female teachers from various specialties who had been dismissed after the outbreak of the revolution and were reinstated today following a review of their applications.

The list includes dismissed individuals from all educational districts in the province, including Raqqa, Al-Thawrah, Al-Jarniyah, Al-Dibsiy, Al-Mansurah, Ma’dan, Tal Abiyad, Suluk, and Al-Karama. The source noted that most dismissals were due to political reasons, malicious reports, or family ties to opposition members.

This step came after the ministry opened an official platform for affected individuals to submit their cases for review.
