Intensive efforts to transfer Raqqa students from Aleppo University amid the transportation crisis
In a humanitarian response aimed at alleviating the suffering of Raqqa students at the University of Aleppo, 80 “Microbuses” cars were prepared to transport them to their city. This initiative came after appeals launched by students as a result of the difficult circumstances they face due to military operations and the transportation crisis.
Hassan Al-Khabour, head of the Drivers Union in Raqqa, told ASO News Network that the initiative witnessed cooperation between car owners, a group of Raqqa youth, and the city’s transportation department, to secure transportation at reasonable prices. Transportation fees were set at only 75,000 Syrian pounds, to prevent exploitation of the students’ situation.
Al-Khabour stated that 28 cars out of 80 have arrived in the city of Aleppo, while the responsible teams are making efforts to secure the arrival of the rest of the cars in the coming days. These moves come within the framework of supporting students and alleviating the burdens on them in light of the current circumstances.
The organizing authorities call on all students to adhere to the necessary instructions and procedures to ensure their safety during the transfer process, stressing that work will continue to improve conditions and provide support to those affected.
The Aleppo front has been witnessing a military escalation since the morning of Wednesday, November 27, between the Syrian regime forces and the opposition factions loyal to Turkey.
