A special source confirmed to ASO News Network that the Semalka Border Crossing Administration with Iraqi Kurdistan issued a decision on Tuesday, February 4, to cancel the sponsorship law that was imposed on Syrians coming from abroad to areas of North-East Syria, such as Raqqa and Deir Al-Zour.

The source explained that under the new decision, travelers will no longer need to be sponsored by two people from the region, a procedure that previously required them to specify the destination of their visit and not exceed it, in addition to adhering to the specified duration of the visit.

The source explained that the decision excluded the Jarabulus region, as visitors to it will remain subject to the previous sponsorship system.
