The Taa-Marbouta Foundation in partnership with the Free Woman stand in Syria has implemented an awareness campaign for the displaced and refugees in Al-Hole camp, regarding the new Corona virus.

This is part of a series of awareness-raising activities undertaken by Taa-Marbouta and the Free Woman Stand in Al-Hole camp, as it is considered the first educational activity during the month of May.

Taa-Marbouta team and Free Woman stand toured in the first and second commune of the fourth sector, taking all precautions, as the team members wore masks and gloves, in addition to continuous sterilization.

The campaign targeted 25 families from the two communes in the fourth sector, based on an action plan developed to target families within the camp.

This came in coordination with the heads of the communes in order to gather women within the two communes and conduct an awareness campaign while maintaining the foundations of social distancing to leave a safe distance between individuals.

During the fourth round, the campaign targeted 15 women with a number of men and children of different age groups in the first commune during the campaign.

Meanwhile, it targeted 10 women, a number of men and children of different age groups, in the second commune.

The team explained to the target group the symptoms that appear on the person with the virus, in addition to explaining the methods of infection, the importance of hygiene, hand washing and social distancing to prevent the virus.

On the other hand, the Taa-Marbouta team attached to the families put forward the idea of making use of clean and unnecessary fabrics at home to make masks and gloves, while still washing them after each use and keeping them clean, in the event of the inability to purchase or the lack of materials in the camp as a simple and non- costly step to prevent and protect, as the idea was very welcomed by the women and promised the team to implement the idea.

In a related context, the team distributed to the targeted families, masks, gloves and sterile materials, in addition to educational awareness brochures that reinforce the ideas explained

Awareness campaigns on the Corona virus continue in Al-Hole camp, targeting the largest possible number of displaced people and refugees within the camp, with the aim of preventing and public safety for the people living in the camp.
