Khadija Al-Zahir, 38 years old, a mother of five children, works as a women’s workshop administrator in the city of Qamishlo/al-Qamishli, and a group of more than 15 women and girls work with her.

Khadija is good at reading and writing, so she decided to work with a group of women, and she took the initiative to establish a women’s workshop 8 years ago. At first, she involved her relatives in the workshop, then other women joined the group.

One of the difficulties this workshop faces is that despite their fatigue loading and unloading goods to and from the trucks, their wages are low, but sometimes some merchants take into account the economic situation of the community and give them good wages, according to what she told Aso News Network.

Khadija and her colleagues are exposed to bullying and outdated concepts, but they continue their work, and their main idea is to return to their homes with a smile and not give up in the face of difficult circumstances.
