The Tabqa Water Unit has announced the shutdown of the water station in Ayyed village and several infiltration wells due to a significant drop in the water level of Lake Assad (Euphrates).
Muthanna Al-Dandal, head of Al-Tabqa Water Unit, explained that the shutdown has caused a water outage in the villages of Ayyed Saghir, Ayyed Kabir, Ayyed Salloum, Ayyed Faseeh, Ayyed Al-Idha’a, and the western suburbs of the city of Tabqa — home to more than 20,000 residents.
Al-Dandal urged residents to ration their water consumption until emergency solutions can be found in the coming days.
