“Medecins Sans Frontier” warns of the consequences of stopping health support for Al-Hawl camp

Medecins Sans Frontier has warned of the dangers of cutting off funding for the World Health Organization, and that it will have dire consequences for the residents of Al-Hawl camp, in Al-Hasakah countryside, northeastern Syria.

The organization said, in its latest report yesterday, Saturday, that “cutting funding means that patients in camps in northeastern Syria will not be able to access vital health care more.”

Among those camps is Al-Hawl camp, which houses more than 42,000 people, most of whom are women and children, according to the international organization’s report.

The organization called on international donors to take immediate measures to save lives and prevent further suffering
