On Monday morning, two women were injured by stray bullets in Al-Hasakah, fired by parents of students celebrating the release of the results of the Basic Education Certificate (Ninth) exams.

Mohammad Qarmo, a general surgery doctor at Al-Rajaa Specialized Hospital in Al-Hasakah, told ASO News Network that they received two cases of gunshot wounds, and they underwent urgent surgical operations to extract the bullets.

The two cases, according to the surgeon, are Munifa Hussein Sharabi, 22 years old, from Al-Mufti neighborhood, and Zakia Suleiman Battan, 65 years old, from Tal Hajar neighborhood.

The treating doctor explained to ASO that the injuries were in the abdomen and thigh area, where surgery was performed on the two injured, who are still receiving treatment and follow-up in the hospital.

Despite the circulars issued by the Interior Authority of the Autonomous Administration and the Internal Security Forces in North-East Syria, cases of random shooting continue to occur on many occasions, leaving more victims on each occasion.
