The Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous-Administration in Roj Ava North East Syria received an official British delegation on Monday in Qamishlo /Al Qamishli.

The delegation arrived late Monday evening through the Simalka border crossing for an official visit to the region and held a press conference with Foreign Department officials.

The delegation included parliamentarians and deputies from Britain’s two main parties (the Labor Party and the Conservative Party), members of vocational syndicates and unions in Britain, and 13 members of the diplomatic corps, on a three-day visit during which the delegation will study the situation in the region in all aspects.

Aso news network was informed that the delegation will visit many institutions and service sectors on Tuesday in order to present a detailed report to the British administration and create a file that includes (security, safety, education and health).

The delegation, headed by Lloyd Russell Mouille, MP of the British Labor Party, met with the heads of some Kurdish parties and the co-chairman of the Foreign Relations Department “Abdul Karim Omar” and “Amal Dada” in a closed session on the media.

In a statement to Aso News Network, Amal Dada, the co- head of the Foreign Relations Authority in North East Syria, said that the British delegation came to provide full support to the region and according to possibilities, especially in the areas of reconstruction and education.

Dada noted that Britain is one of the countries that fight terrorism and in many situations praised the sacrifices made by the northern Syrian regions to fight ISIS and pursue its members.

Dada denied what was said about the possibility of transferring IDPs residing in Ain Issa camp to Al Hole Camp, describing the situation in Al Hole camp as disastrous in terms of providing aid and the number of residents. The camp cannot accommodate other numbers of displaced people.

During the press conference, in response to Aso news network question to the British Labor Party deputy Lloyd Russell Moell about the seriousness of the Hole camp and the importance of forming a military tribunal to judge ISIS detainees held in Autonomous-Administration detention camps As soon as possible, and the subject of Al Hole camp is very important, he said, “In this visit we will closely monitor the reality of the camp and ways to find a study of the danger of the return of any activity of the Islamic State terrorist organization.”

On the issue of financial support, Lloyd noted that the visiting delegation had been preoccupied with projects that it had put on the table of the British National Bank to encourage donors and supporters to accept projects submitted to them. As they confronted challenges and pressed on the British government to change the related laws to the financial support, because the British financial law supports only the countries, that was very difficult, and we are very pleased that we succeeded in changing the amendment of the law, and that North East Syria region will receive a British support, especially in the reconstruction issue.

This is the second visit of the British delegation to the areas of Roj Ava / North East Syria after the first visit, which was on 04/04/2018.
