The second campaign of Deterring Terrorism: ISIS cells and smugglers are on the wanted list

SDF forces, in cooperation with the International Coalition, launched on Friday the second phase of the “Deterring Terrorism” campaign in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The campaign included Al-Shuhail, Al-Hawaij, and Dheban. In the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in search of ISIS wanted militants

A number of ISIS suspects were arrested.

SDF forces have confiscated all ferries on the Euphrates by shuhail, Hawaij, and Dheban, which are used to smuggle flour and fuel from the areas of self-administration to the areas of Iranian militias.

The activity of ISIS cells that damaged the region increased, as did the smuggling operations, which led to raising the prices of food, fuel, and livestock that are being smuggled into the Iranian militia areas in Al-Mayadeen.

This campaign came after the meeting of elders of Deir Al-Zour tribes with “Mazloum Abdi”, commander of SDF, and demanding them to restore security and stability to the eastern countryside.

The campaign is taking place amid the helicopter flight of the Coalition and a curfew in Al-Basera, Dheban, Hawaij, Al-Zir, and Al-Shuhail, to facilitate the pursuit and detention of ISIS cells.
