The Syrian government’s Education Directorate in al-Hasakah issued a decision to stop the salaries of workers in the educational field for those who are within the age of assignment to compulsory and reserve military service.

The decision includes workers born between 1982 and 2004.

Private sources affiliated with the Syrian government reported to Aso News Network that payroll approvers have been instructed not to pay the salaries of workers, especially those born under the decision, until they bring a statement of their status from recruitment or not having been convicted.

Based on the required data, it will be collected in special tables and then submitted to the Directorate of Education.

The private sources said that after submitting the lists and schedules to the Directorate of Education, instructions will be issued to pay salaries to those who are confirmed not to be called up for compulsory and reserve service.

The sources noted that workers who are confirmed to be required to join military service will be subject to legal action. “The director of the school in which the person who missed the two services will work will submit the names on lists to the Syrian Ministry of Education so that a decision will be issued to dismiss them (dismissing with the ruling of resignation due to his absence from work for a period of 15 days). ).

The sources confirmed that from a legal standpoint, if a worker in the educational field receives a report, any police or justice unit has the right to arrest him and send him to compulsory or reserve service.

It is noteworthy that such measures are not limited to those working in the educational field, but rather include the rest of the work sectors affiliated with the Syrian government.

These measures are considered a pressure card on workers in Syrian government institutions, to force them into either compulsory or reserve services
