Water wells out of service as a result of the Turkish bombing of Amuda power station
The water wells in the city of Amuda have been out of service since yesterday, as a result of the Turkish occupation’s bombing of the public electricity station that supplied the wells with electricity, which led to the cessation of water pumping from the wells.
The official in the Amuda Water Department, Ibrahim Hassan, explained to Aso News Network that generators will be operated to pump well water after the public electricity outage. He added that only 7 wells out of 17 wells will be operated, and this will cause a decrease in water pumping to the city to only a few hours.
Ibrahim called on the people to conserve water and not waste it until alternative solutions are found.
It is noteworthy that the water wells were out of service as a result of the Turkish bombing targeting the power station in Amuda, in early October of last year.
