The fifty-year-old uncle, “Jamal Al-Mohammad,” works in the lock repair profession in Tabqqa, and he is the oldest lock repair person in the city.

Uncle Jamal comes from the town of Rajo in the city of Afrin, from the first Kurdish family to live in Tabqqa since the city was established in 1968.

Uncle Jamal started the lock repair profession at a young age, as his family owned a shop that sold new locks. He learned to repair locks on his own and developed his business in duplicating keys. He has been practicing this profession for 28 years, in his family’s shop located in the city market.

He tells Aso News Network that he considers lock repair to be an art form, especially when he masters it, and he is happy that his customers trust his work and come to his shop from all over the region and its countryside.
