Uncle Ahmed Al-Rayes, 92 years old, used to wake up early and go to his men’s barber shop in downtown Raqqa.

Uncle Ahmed has been working in the profession of men’s shaving and perfumery (formulating herbs and natural oils) for nearly eighty years. He inherited his profession from his father and grandfather.

He told Aso News Network, “I love my profession and I continue working with my old tools (a shaving brush, a razor, and hair cutting scissors). My elderly clients prefer to shave using my old tools, rather than modern tools, while some young people want to shave using old tools in shaving, as a form of shaving.” Experimentation.”

Uncle Ahmed is also good at using modern shaving tools. He continues to make herbs and natural oils and does not think about quitting his job as long as he can.
