On Saturday, April 6, a group of shepherd settlers assaulted and beat an elderly Kurdish man and his son, whose name is Farid Suleiman Hesso (60 years old), and his son Mohammad (15 years old), from the village of Kakhara/Yakhour in Maabatli district in Afrin countryside, which is under the Turkish occupation and under the control of the “National army” factions loyal to Turkey since 2018.

The attack came against the backdrop of the elderly “Farid Hesso’s” request to settler shepherds not to graze their livestock in the olive grove that belongs to him, and which is considered his only source of livelihood.

As a result of the brutal beating, Farid is currently undergoing treatment at Ibn Sina Hospital, “formerly Afrin,” in the occupied city of Afrin, and he suffers from chronic diseases.
