SDF Commander Meets National Council to Discuss the Kurdish Dialogue
Political sources said that the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces will meet today, Monday, with a delegation from the Kurdish National Council.
The source stated that the meeting comes within the framework of seeking to bring the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue to levels that are consistent with the accelerating events in Syria, and to discuss the formation of a Kurdish delegation to Damascus.
The meetings are held in complete secrecy, and are not disclosed.
The sources expected that there would be decisions following this meeting, including the release of political detainees in the prisons of the Autonomous Administration.
After the fall of Al-Assad regime, parties and community activities launched numerous dialogues to discuss the formation of a Kurdish delegation for dialogue with Damascus.
They launched a series of dialogues with community activists, parties and organizations outside the two sides of the dialogue.
Since 2020, the American and French sides have been sponsoring the Kurdish dialogue between the Kurdish National Council parties and the Kurdish National Unity parties, which did not result in final agreements despite the signing of a joint political document.
During the past period, French and American delegations met with the two parties several times, stressing the need to unify the Kurdish ranks at this time.
