Barzani stresses the protection of Kurdish rights during his meeting with Al-Sheibani in Davos

The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Syrian caretaker government, Asaad Sheibani, today, Thursday, January 23, on the sidelines of the 25th World Economic Forum “Davos” held in Switzerland.

In a tweet by Barzani on the “X” platform, he said that during his meeting with Al-Sheibani, he stressed the need to protect the rights of the Kurdish people as a basic priority within any future political solution to the Syrian crisis, and to discuss the future of Syria.

The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government also confirmed his government’s readiness to support any initiatives or viable solutions that contribute to achieving stability and lasting peace in the region.
