Kawthar lived with her husband and children in their home in the city of Serekaniye / Ras Al-Ain, a normal, safe, quiet and somewhat stable life, despite the conditions passed by the country, before turning their lives to hell since the date of October 09, 2019.
On October 9, 2019, the Turkish aggression began launching air strikes on the city of Serekaniye / Ras al-Ain, followed by a ground attack by the Turkish occupation army and the Syrian armed opposition factions supported by the occupation, at a time when people were forced to flee the city to escape death.
On that day, the townspeople were confused about where to go, in search of a safe place and to escape of death. “Kawtar, 23, is a resident of Serekaniye, and is currently residing in Kobani says,” people were coming out in cohorts to escape the coming death. ”
Life is no longer possible as Kawthar and her family used to live, “We were forced out of the city in a hurry and to save our children when the shells of Turkish aggression were pouring on the city.”
The entire family could not reach Kobani, where the new destination of displacement and forced migration was at the hands of the Turkish occupation, as “Kawthar’s husband” remained in Al-Hasakah, while she and her children arrived in the countryside of Kobani. “My husband stayed there and was no longer able to reach Kobani countryside. It’s difficult condition, we don’t know what to do after we lost our city and their father’s absence. ”
Kawthar is struggling to convince her children of the new place. “The children remember their memories in Serekaniye, they ask when will they return! They talk to each other about their games, their colleagues.”
Kawthar got bad news about her house. They told her that her house was burned by the factions.
Kawthar suffers a lot from the inability to return to Serekaniye, as is the case for most of the people of the city who were forcibly abandoned from their land, and cannot return to it because of the violations committed by the Syrian armed opposition factions.
“My husband tried to return, but this is difficult,” says Kawthar. “They arrest every Kurd, every Arab, and other components are wanted on their list. They have stolen, plundered, and looted the property of the city. They want the people back to kidnap them.”
Kawthar has three children, who suffers when she remembering her home and the memories of her children, but she says that the escape was in search of safety for them. “We saw how they kill and how they were burning houses and bombing the city without mercy. The shells were targeting the city and destroying everything.”
Kawthar, as the people of the city today are living away from their city, displaced waiting to return, no one will return because the actions of the factions, and they still have hope that the conditions will be fair to them and return to their land.
