Two people were injured by a landmine explosion of ISIS remnants south of al-Hasakah
Two civilians were injured on Sunday, August 18, 2018, when a landmine exploded from the ISIS remnants planted in vicinity of the main road between the Panorama Roundabout at the southern entrance of Al Hasakah and the International school for Driving near the bridge of Abiyad village southwest of the city.
According to local sources in the southern countryside of Al Hasaka, the device exploded when an Inter-truck, carrying a number of empty diesel barrels from the main road,took off to the secondary road leading to a village in the area.
According to medical sources at the national hospital in Al-Hasakah, the explosion wounded Salman al-Ahmad, 23, and one of his legs was amputated.
His 30-year-old brother, Daham al-Ahmad, was also seriously injured and referred to the city of Qamishlo.
Abiyad village bridge is located on the southwestern side of Al Hasakah, about 15 km from the city center and 5 km from its southern entrance.
