Safe Zone Agreement: US patrols enter Sere Kaniye after patrolling the border

A number of American vehicles, accompanied by vehicles belonging to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), entered the city of Sere Kaniye/ Ras al-Ain on Sunday morning.
The US patrols, which entered the city of Sere Kaniye, had patrolled the border in the west of the city, as part of the agreement with Turkey on the formation of the safe area.
American vehicles that entered the city, which were accompanied by SDF without any presence of Turkish vehicles in the cities.
The correspondent of Aso news network in Sere Kaniye said that a US armored patrol, accompanied by five SUVs belonging to the SDF, entered the city after American vehicles patrolled the border.
The US-Turkish agreement includes patrols between the borders of the city of Sere Kaniye and Tel Abiyad.
The correspondent added that the American vehicles entered from the side of the “Tel Halaf” (west of Sere Kaniye), to the “Asayish Academy” located in “Al Corniche district” of the city, and then towards the main street inside the city and access to the border road (on the road to Al Darbasiyah) east of the city.
It is noteworthy that today began joint US and Turkish patrols on the border between Sere Kaniye and Tel Abiyad as part of the agreement to establish the safe zone.
