“Al-Amashat” faction, backed by the Turkish occupation, uprooted 600 olive trees out of 650 trees in Haikja Village in Sheikh Hadid district.

Local activists in the city of Afrin, said that the aim of “Al-Amshat” from this process is to turn the olive land to grow grains and barley for the benefit of the faction.

The trees that were uprooted are owned to Mustafa Dalou, whose trees were uprooted under the pretext that he had previously dealt with Autonomous-Admininstration.

The city of Afrin has been witnessing since the occupation, the cutting and burning of thousands of olive trees and forest trees to convert them to firewood and sell them at exorbitant prices to the population.
