Initiatives to open a psychological counseling center in Tabqa

The city of Tabqa witnessed the opening of a center for training and psychological counseling, amid encouragement from the people of the city.

“Muhammad Mamoun,” a resident of Tabqa, told the Aso news network that they had lived through very difficult times in light of the wars and the succession of the various organizations in the city, so they urgently need such centers to provide psychological support.
Adding that such centers should have existed since the first days to liberate the city from ISIS.

“Taghreed Ali”, a resident of the city, participated in one of the workshops set up by the center, and it benefited her in terms of knowing how to deal with her family members and solve crises.

” Taghreed ” indicated that resorting to psychological counseling was flawed from the point of view of society. However, the crises that the region went through require from the people a greater awareness of the need for psychological support.

The main goal of the opening of the center was the pressures that the people of Tabqa have suffered during the eight continuous years of war, according to “Abd al-Fattah Younis,” director of the “zat” center for training and psychological counseling.

” Younis ” added that he is the only psychiatrist and therapist in the center, and the lack of cadres working in the field of psychological support has led him to hold training courses to graduate trained cadres capable of providing assistance to the people of the city.
