On Monday, the Taa Marbouta Foundation held an awareness raising session on breast cancer in its office in Raqqa city.
Dozens of women attended the session in the city of Raqqa, as part of precautionary measures and rules of social distancing against the Corona virus.

A discussion took place between correct and misconceptions about breast cancer and how to prevent it between the attendees and the doctor, “Fatima Al-Darwish.”

The symposium dealt with methods of protection and prevention of breast cancer for married women and girls alike.

Dr. Fatima Al-Darwish emphasized that girls ’misconceptions about breast cancer make them highly vulnerable to breast cancer, especially in the city of Raqqa.

In the same context, the director of the Taa Marbouta Foundation office in Raqqa, Shahla Al-Ali, indicated that the breast cancer awareness project is continuing this month as it is the International Breast Cancer Month and will include many activities, including awareness sessions and the distribution of brochures in the city of Raqqa and its surroundings.

“Ghoroub al-Abd al-Latif” from the people of Raqqa noted that most girls and women in Raqqa need to be educated and their wrong information about breast cancer to be corrected, because everyone is vulnerable to it.
