The Syrian armed factions affiliated with the Turkish occupation have recently begun to feel a state of betrayal and unease in dealing with the Turkish side, due to the latter’s failure to fulfill the financial promises that tempted them in exchange for their recruitment to achieve Turkish ambitions.

According to private sources to Aso News Network, many elements have begun to express their unwillingness to fight a new war in favor of the Turkish occupation, especially with the escalation of Turkish threats against the regions of North-East Syria.

This feeling began to grow among these factions after the recruitment of thousands of them to fight in Libya and Azerbaijan, especially after many of the leaders of these factions seized the salaries of these elements, including the so-called Mohammad Al-Jassem and nicknamed “Abu Amsha”, who stole the salaries of two consecutive months for more than 1000 members of his faction, who participated in the fighting in Libya, in addition to the reduction of the salaries of these elements from 2500 US dollars to less than 400 dollars.

All of these reasons made the elements of these factions feel a state of distrust of the Turkish occupation and the faction leaders who are instructing them to prepare for the possible military operation against the areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces in North-East Syria.

Whereas, private sources confirmed to Aso News Network, that there is no motive for many of the elements to participate in this potential operation, which they see as a “incinerator” for the elements, as they described it.

This comes in light of the feeling that they will not get anything in return for their participation in the fighting, and that their leaders will seize the money allocated to them, if there will be, and steal it, similar to what happened in the previous battles they fought.

In this context, the young man, “Saeed al-Ali” (a pseudonym), told a member of “Ahrar al-Sham” movement, to Aso News Network, that most of the factions loyal to the Turkish occupation now no longer trust Turkey’s promises, pointing out that hundreds of elements are still in Libya working on the dam. Contact lines and guards are deployed in the areas controlled by Turkey, and now they receive a monthly salary of only 400 US dollars, while they were scheduled to receive 2500 US dollars.

Al-Ali mentions that the leaders of the factions affiliated with the Turkish occupation began preparing lists of the elements participating in the possible military operation in North-East Syria, pointing to a significant shortage in the number of potential participants, which prompted these leaders to threaten their elements with exclusion, according to him.

“Hammoud al-Ibrahim” (a pseudonym for a member of “Al-Sham Legion” faction affiliated with the Turkish occupation) also spoke to Aso News Network, saying that he refuses to participate again in any battle that Turkey will launch, whether it is in Syria or outside “because the Turkish side does not provide any protection.” to the elements.” The faction leaders are also greedy and seize the dues of the elements, as he said.

He points out that most of the elements do not want the Turkish presence in the North of Syria and its dominance over all aspects of life in it, but what compels them to remain silent is the presence of a small amount of money per month with a food basket that “supplies their lives”, as he described it.

He points out that there are entire groups within “Al-Sham Legion” faction that have announced their unwillingness to participate in the battle that Turkey is preparing for in North-East Syria, “because they see that the factions first open a front against the areas controlled by the Syrian government forces in the southern countryside of Idlib and the northern and western countryside of Hama. and the western countryside of Aleppo to restore the areas and return the displaced and refugees, instead of launching a new battle in the SDF-controlled area.

Al-Ali expresses his dissatisfaction with the situation in northern Syria, which the Turkish occupation brought to it, pointing out that the factions’ elements have become like cards in the hands of the latter, who has diverted these factions from their compass and used them as mercenaries hired to implement his agendas in any part of the land.

He asserts that these elements no longer have the desire to fight because they feel that they have become just a game used by the Turkish occupation, while “the faction leaders enjoy wealth from luxury homes, luxury cars and balances in foreign banks.”

Turkish officials have recently issued threats to occupy new areas in North-East Syria, but according to the data on the ground, and after the Tehran summit that brought together the allies of Astana, and after the Sochi meeting between Putin and Erdogan, it seems that the Turkish occupation did not get the green light from these parties, as the United States, through its officials, has repeatedly warned the Turkish side against carrying out any new military operation in North-East Syria.
