The state of tension continues between al-Jabour clan and the “National Defense” in al-Hasakah…
Clashes with firearms broke out between members of al-Jabour clan and members of the “National Defense” yesterday evening, Tuesday, in the city of al-Hasakah, amid reports of injuries, but Aso News Network could not verify its validity until the moment this news was prepared.
The clashes formed a state of paralysis in several points in the city, amid the concern of the people among the people about the increase in the state of tension that affected the lives of civilians.
Armed tension resulted in families leaving the security square and moving to safer neighborhoods.

The clashes erupted as a result of the “National Defense” commander Abdel Qader Hamo’s attack on the sheikh of al-Jabour clan, Abdel Aziz al-Muslat, and insulting him, according to what Akram Mahshoush, one of the sheikhs of al-Jabour clan, told Aso News Network.
A vehicle belonging to the National Defense stopped in front of the car of Abdel Aziz al-Muslat, accompanied by one of his relatives, in one of the neighborhoods of al-Hasakah, which resulted in touching between the two parties, which led to the civil defense elements attacking the relative of al-Muslat, and Abdel Qader Hamo assaulting al-Muslat, one of the leaders of al-Jabour clan.
Pictures and video clips circulating on social media showed that armed crowds of members of al-Jabour clan flocked towards the security square in the center of the city of al-Hasakah, where the National Defense personnel are stationed, demanding retribution from the National Defense Commander and holding him accountable, according to what was confirmed by a statement issued by the media office of Sheikh Nawaf Abdel Aziz Al-Musalat.
Sheikh Nawaf Al-Muslat called, through a video clip, on his clan members to exercise restraint and maintain peace in al Jazira region, stressing their demand to hold the leader of the National Defense accountable (..).
Today, Tuesday, government media sources in al-Hasakah stated that Youssef Khalifa Hammad was appointed commander of the National Defense in al-Hasakah, after receiving news that his former commander had been transferred to Damascus and imprisoned, while the information has not been issued by any official authority yet.
The security tension in the city created a state of anxiety among the people and fear of an expansion of the clashes, at a time when the city suffers from difficult living conditions, especially with regard to the worsening crisis of access to drinking water, in light of the heat wave that hits the region.
The National Defense Faction is considered one of the auxiliary forces loyal to the Syrian government army, while several sources talk about Iran’s direct support for the National Defense. According to some sources, it was established in late 2012, and it is spread in several Syrian governorates, and it has a record of creating security tensions in its areas of influence. Including the city of Al-Hasakah.
