Four people lost their lives in a traffic accident on Qamishlo-Al-Hasakah road
Four people lost their lives and 24 others were injured, as a result of a passenger bus colliding with a truck on al-Qamishli- al-Hasakah international road, near Hattin Junction. They were transferred to al-Hasakah hospitals.
According to private sources to Aso News Network: Hewler bus, which was carrying 28 passengers, the majority of whom were students, collided with an “Inter” truck, which led to the loss of four people’s lives and the injury of 24 others.
A medical source at Al-Hikma Hospital told our correspondent: The young woman, Milan Derai, arrived at the hospital after she died, while the attempts of the medical staff did not succeed in saving the life of the young woman, Leranda Shabo, a student in the College of Science, after several resuscitation attempts.
The private source also stated that the injuries varied between fractures in the limbs, cerebral wounds and bruises in the rest of the body’s organs. All the injured were referred either to Qamishli Hospital, which is close to their place of residence, or because they did not need to remain in the hospital, according to the same source.
A medical source at the People’s Hospital stated that the bus driver, “Farid Hassan,” arrived at the hospital and died as a result of a cerebral hemorrhage in addition to a broken leg. The same was true for the administrative employee at Hewler Company, “Ahmed Hamza,” who had died upon his arrival to the hospital.
Traffic accidents occur frequently on al-Qamishli- al-Hasakah international road, as a result of excessive speed and non-compliance with traffic rules.
