A murder due to a dispute between two brothers in a village north of Al-Hasakah

ASO News Network correspondent in Al-Hasakah said that the young man, Osama Adnan Al-Najm (21 years old), lost his life today, Sunday, in a hospital in Al-Hasakah, three days after he was injured with a sharp object at the hands of his older brother.

The correspondent, quoting statements from the victim’s family, indicated that a person called Basil Adnan Al-Najm (25 years old) caused the death of his brother (Osama) after hitting him on the head with a metal tool in an agricultural project in Amuda countryside due to a dispute over a sum of money.

According to a private source from Al-Hikma Hospital in Al-Hasakah, who preferred to remain anonymous, he told ASO News Network that the injured person arrived at the hospital on Thursday afternoon in critical condition due to severe bleeding, after which he was admitted to critical care room.

The source indicated that they were unable to control the bleeding due to the blow he suffered, which led to his death three days after his arrival to the hospital.

A source in the Internal Security Forces in Al-Hasakah confirmed that after receiving a report about a murder being committed in the northern countryside of Al-Hasakah, a patrol pursued the perpetrator and arrested him to bring him to justice.

The Syrian Observatory documented 71 premeditated murders within the Autonomous Administration areas since the beginning of 2024, some of which resulted from domestic violence or theft, and others whose causes and motives are still unknown. 75 people were killed in these crimes.
