The “Ta’azur” Association for Victims in North-East Syria said on Thursday that Turkey has launched at least 345 attacks on areas of NE Syria since the beginning of this year, resulting in the killing of 11 civilians, including a child, and the injury of 51 others, including 7 children and 6 women.

The Association documented 102 raids by warplanes and drones, and 243 cases of bombing with artillery and missiles, targeting vital infrastructure and civilian facilities, including health centers, electricity transmission stations, and oil and gas fields, in addition to factories and small companies.

According to the report, the Turkish attacks targeted all border areas in North-East Syria, and Al-Shahba region north of Aleppo, despite their inclusion in the de-escalation/ceasefire agreements that Turkey signed with both the United States of America and Russia, following the Turkish military operation “Peace Spring.” In October 2019.

Ta’azur” report indicated that the Turkish attacks had a catastrophic impact on the lives of the residents of the regions of northern NE Syria, which host about one million internally displaced persons, and left millions of civilians without access to gas, electricity, and clean water.

The attacks “exacerbated the already existing humanitarian crisis, at a time when the region suffers from a deteriorating economy and already dilapidated infrastructure,” according to the report.
