Stop the decision to grant Erbil visa upon arrival to holders of European residency

Erbil International Airport has stopped granting visas to those arriving with European and Gulf residency and citizenship, and a visa must be issued in advance before traveling to the Kurdistan Region.

The tourist visa issuance office told the ASO News Network that the visa was granted to holders of European and Gulf residency upon arrival at Erbil Airport by paying with a bank card.

The office added that payment by bank card has stopped at the present time, and thus the granting of visas upon arrival has stopped.

It indicated that those wishing to travel to the Kurdistan Region must obtain a visa in advance before booking a flight ticket to Erbil Airport.

The decision to cancel the issuance of visas at the airport has not been confirmed permanently, or to stop granting them for a temporary period.
