The Kurdish National Council criticized holding dialogue sessions in the name of Al-Hasaka in Damascus, which were called for by the Preparatory Committee for the Syrian National Dialogue Conference, and scheduled today in Damascus as part of the “National Dialogue Track” for the people of Al-Hasaka Governorate.

The council confirmed in a statement issued by its spokesman “Faisal Youssef”, that the Syrian national dialogue constitutes a basic entry point for shaping the future of the country, stressing that excluding the Kurdish component represents a violation of the principle of national partnership and ignoring the role of a major component of the Syrian people that has suffered from discrimination and exclusion for decades, and has been deprived of its legitimate rights under successive regimes.

The statement indicated that the Kurdish political movement has a comprehensive vision that reflects the suffering of the Kurdish people, and proposes realistic solutions to address their issues within a comprehensive national framework, stressing that any serious dialogue on the future of Syria must ensure the effective participation of all components, foremost of which is the Kurdish people represented by its political forces.

The Council concluded its statement by stressing that comprehensive dialogue based on the principles of partnership and mutual recognition is the only way to establish the foundations of a new Syria, built on the foundations of justice, respect for political pluralism, and equal citizenship, far from any exclusion or marginalization of national forces.
