In order to train and empower women in Al-Houl camp, T-Marbuta Foundation, in cooperation and partnership with the Free Women Standing in Syria team, started a series of professional and development workshops.

The workshops targeted women trainees from the displaced and refugees from various sectors inside the camp, where each workshop attended about 15 women with age groups ranging between 18 and 45 years, and lasted for six days, and included training on (recycling and handicrafts, wool and crochet, and about beads).

This came in order to empower women, activate their role in society, and ensure their self-reliance, in addition to increasing job opportunities and livelihoods in their private lives.

While the workshops relied on special training curricula carried out by trainers with experience in the field, with detailed explanations and supervision of the mechanism of carrying out the work for each woman separately.

Whereas, the team took all preventive measures for Coronavirus, from wearing masks and gloves, in addition to continuous sterilization, before starting each workshop, with a comprehensive explanation of the trainees, about the importance of social separation during the workshops.

It is worth noting that the workshops will continue within pre-programs and action plans, and will include the largest number of women participating inside the camp, to allow everyone to benefit.
