Establishing a substitute drinking water station for Alouk station in Al-Hasakah

The Directorate of Public Water of the Self-Administration started the implementation of a water station project in Al-Hama area in the western countryside of Hasakah to secure drinking water for Al-Hasakah and Tal Tamr cities and the surrounding countryside in addition to Al-Hawl and Al-Arisha camps , after the armed factions stopped pumping water from Alok station in Ras Al-Ain / Serekaneh city .
“Suzdar Ahmed”, the joint head of Al-Hasakeh Water Directorate, told Aso News Network, after the armed factions supported by the seizure of Serekaneh, the factions prevented workers from entering Alouk station and stopped pumping water continuously from the station that feeds the cities of Hasakeh, Tal Tamr, Al-Houl and Al-Arisha camps, and deprived nearly one million Civilian drinking water.
She added that a solution had to be found to provide water for civilians, and the Directorate worked to search for safe drinking water, and the Directorate began implementing a project in the area of Al-Hama, west of Al-Hasakah city, which contains groundwater suitable for drinking according to international standards, after analyzing it and ensuring its validity, and the project is based on drilling 50 Wells with a pumping force of 12 m3 / hour.
“Ahmed” said that the plant will be ready in less than a month, and it is expected that pumping will take one day every week because the amount of water will not be sufficient in abundance.
The armed factions supported by Turkey have seized Aluk water station since the beginning of the Turkish aggression in northern and eastern Syria in October 2019 and the factions continue to cut off the water to blackmail civilians continuously.
