A young man from Afrin loses his life with burns due to a fire in farmland contrived by the opposition and Turkey

The young “Suleiman Jamil Ibrahim” (22 years) lost his life, after his body was burned, when he was trying, with the help of the people of the village of Shirawa, to put out fires, on Friday, in agricultural lands contrived by the Syrian opposition and Turkey.

Information, according to activists from Afrin, that “Suleiman” lost his life by firing shots and shells from the Turkish army towards agricultural lands, with the aim of burning the crop, which led to “Suleiman” burns while extinguishing the fire.

“Suleiman Ibrahim” from the district of Shirawa, and was seriously wounded, and was subsequently referred to Afrin Hospital in Al-Shahbaa regions to lose his life due to his severe wounds.

The activists stated that the Turkish army, which control Afrin, a few days ago, intentionally fired bullets and shells at agricultural land with the aim of burning the crops of the displaced people of Afrin, in areas not under the control of Turkey.

The armed factions, with the support of the Turkish army, also set fires in the village of “Burj Haydar” in the “Shirawa” district, to reach the villages of “Kloti” and “Gondi Mazen” due to strong winds yesterday evening.

People are reluctant to put out the fires, fearing that armed factions will target them.

In a related context, “Al-Hamzat” faction controlling the village of “Kemar” in the district of Shirawa on the 21st of this month has set fire to the olive trees in the village to burn dozens of trees. The fire reached to Sogonaka village on the border with Kemar village, some forest trees were burnt in addition to that fire reached civilian homes.

Likewise, in the “Sheran” area, dozens of forest trees were set on fire in the villages of “Aqeeba” and “Sogonakah” after being targeted by the Turkish army with artillery.
