Two explosions in Afrin … The factions force the residents to pay Eid bonus

The city of Afrin witnessed, on the second day of Eid Al-Fitr, a motorcycle explosion on the road linking the cities of Afrin and Azaz, and only material damage was done.

A second explosion occurred this evening, Monday, at the Mahmudiyah checkpoint, near the military hospital junction.
Where an explosive device was planted inside one of the scrap cars parked on the side of the road for a long time.

In parallel, local activists in Afrin said that armed factions are imposing new royalties on the city’s residents under the name (Eid bonus).

Sources from the village of “Trinda” confirmed that the dominant “Jaish al-Islam” faction there, forced Mukhtar and the residents of the village to pay (Eid bonus).

And the security of the aforementioned faction, which stay in the house of the displaced civilian, “Subhi Abdo,” imposed on the village Mukhtar an amount of 500 thousand Syrian pounds, in addition to imposing sums of money on the villagers.

And the security barriers at the entrances and exits of Afrin impose an amount of 200 to 500 Syrian pounds on each car or motorcycle that passes from its checkpoints under the pretext (Al-Eid bonus).
