Local activists from Afrin, said that the settlers living near the Karrah Jarnah shrine in Sharan district have turned the shrine into a cattle shelter under the supervision of armed factions backed by the Turkish occupier.

The “Karrah Jarnah” shrine is a religious shrine located in a tourist area, and was intended for the residents of Afrin for the summer holidays and trips, before the armed factions took control of the city.

Residents in Afrin villages complain of the large number of herds of cattle that are harming their agricultural crops and olive trees and their fruits, as cattle increased after the recent wave of displacement in Afrin from the villages of the western countryside of Aleppo and Idlib regions.

It is worth noting that, last April, three shepherds from settlers killed the elderly Ali Ahmed from Maydanki village because he asked them to remove the cattle from his field and they beat him until he lost his life.
