Afrin: Factions steal settlers and kidnap residents to demand financial ransom
Two elements of the Chechen group belonging to the “Sultan Murad Brigade” faction stormed the home of a settler from Al Ghouta Al Sharqiya, beating, insulting and stealing his motorcycle in broad daylight.
The settler who was beaten and robbed, is an old man who lives in the old Afrin neighborhood, and the two elements are “Mustafa” and “Abu Saqr”.
The people of the neighborhood saw how the two elements struck and stole the old man without the people being able to interfere because of the presence of the weapon.
The number of attacks, beatings and theft increased significantly in recent times after the Turkish authorities stopped paying the salaries of the militants who refused to go to Libya.
In a related context, an armed group affiliated to the “Mohammed al-Fateh Brigade” faction kidnapped eight Kurdish citizens from the village of “Maamlo” in “Rajo” district and demanded a financial ransom of $ 400 in exchange for the release of each of them.
