Under the title “The Tree of Peace for Peace”, an exhibition of art paintings was held in the city of Qamishlo/Al Qamishli, which took place at a huge explosion site which targeted the western neighborhood of the city.
“Lokman Shekhmus”, the photographer and the exhibition’s owner, told Aso News Network that what the region desperately needs is peace, and from that “I started planning the idea of the exhibition.”
Under the auspices of the Yazidi House in Al jazira region, 25 paintings symbolizing peace were displayed at the exhibition, the most important of which was the Peace Tree that was donated from Qamishlo to Shangal.
And about choosing the place of the bombing to hold the exhibition, Sheikhimos explained that this place has become known to all, where hundreds of civilians have lost their lives, including children and elderly people, “So it is worth starting with peace from this place specifically,” adding that spreading love between people is not an easy issue but possible.
