planting an explosive device in a commercial store in Afrin and failing to detonate it

Local activists in the city of Afrin said that two settler women in Afrin entered a wholesale store on the Kawa roundabout road in the city, with the intention of one of them distracting the shop owner by asking about the prices of materials and the other placing a black bag under a chair in the shop.

After the women exited the store, the shop worker noticed the bag, after checking he discovered the presence of an explosive device inside it.

The military police and the engineering personnel dismantled the device and arrested the two women after reviewing and identifying the surveillance cameras.

They admitted placing the explosive device inside the store and failed to detonate it due to a malfunction in the device’s control.
