Either you pay 10 thousand dollars to release you, or we imprison you for 15 years … the case of the faction court in Afrin

Local activists from Afrin said that the gunmen in the Azaz city prison demanded the families of “Hussein Bayram” a ransom of 10,000 $ in exchange for his release.

The gunmen threatened the family of “Hussein Bayram” (63 years old) with 15 years imprisonment on false and fabricated charges.

This prison term came as a pressure card on the people of “Bayram” to force them to pay the required ransom.

“Hussein” was arrested on the fifth of last April in a raid carried out by Military Police with the support of “Al-Hamzat” faction on the village of Shorba in Maabatli district.

At the time, three people were arrested, including a woman, who were (Idris Jaafar, Hussein Bayram, and Rashida, Ali Taher’s wife).

At that time, the detainees were taken to the Military Police headquarters in the village of “Kafr Jannah” and they were charged with the usual charge of dealing with the Autonomous Administration in the past.
