Local sources from Afrin revealed to Aso News Network that the two brothers (Mustafa Mustafa Mahmoud and Muhammad Mustafa Mahmoud) were severely beaten by members of “Ahrar al-Sham” faction.

The two brothers are residents of the village of Kafr Safra in Jindires district, and were attacked after they refused to build a new road that passes through their agricultural field from which they derive their livelihood.

According to sources, to Aso News Network, “Ahrar al-Sham” faction, since its takeover of the village of Ghoran, has closed some of the roads leading to the village’s houses to block the roads leading to the houses they seized, which led to the obstruction of movement.

Mustafa Mustafa Mahmoud is a resident of the village of Kafr Safra and lives in the village of Ghoran and works with his brother Muhammad in the cultivation and sale of olive seedlings in one of the fields located on the road to the village of Ghoran Miska, where “Ahrar al-Sham” faction decided to open a new road that passes through their field, thus damaging the olive seedlings they plant.

The two brothers faced the decision of the aforementioned faction, when a security member of Ahrar al-Sham beat them, as Muhammad Mustafa was beaten by the butt of the gun on his back, in addition to shooting in the air with the aim of intimidation, and the two brothers sustained bruises on the body.

Despite the armed element’s attempt to open the road by force of arms, saying that they are free and will do what they want, the two brothers, Muhammad and Mustafa, were able to prevent him from opening the road and sabotaging the field which is considered their source of livelihood.
