Afrin: Continuing arrests under false pretexts…the goal is to collect money
Afrin residents are subjected to arrests and kidnappings on a daily basis, especially while passing through the security barriers erected at all entrances and exits of the city, on charges of working in one of the Autonomous Administration institutions or joining the ranks of the People’s Protection Units and Women previously.
Arin Fakhri Muslim, 33, a resident of Shetka village in Maabatli district, was arrested while passing through the Muhammadiyah checkpoint at the entrance to Afrin, by civil police on charges of working in a civil defense institution previously.
A source close to Arin Muslim, revealed to Aso News Network, that when she passed the checkpoint, the checkpoint members demanded to show the identity of the local council, the only card they recognize now in Afrin, but she has not yet extracted the card, which prompted them to interrogate her about the reason for not obtaining The identity card and the search of her name to arrest her immediately on the pretext that she is among their wanted persons.
Aren Muslim, married and mother of two children, was transferred to an unknown destination and her fate is still unknown.
On the other hand, the civil police imposed a sum of one thousand US dollars on the families of the arrested young man, Muhammad Tobal, who was arrested earlier in the district of Jindires a month ago, as a ransom in exchange for his release.
