On Thursday, November 21, 2019, Hakawati al-Furat troupe performed a theatrical play at al Hole Camp.

The show targeted 550 children, and camp administrators and representatives of local and international organizations attended.

The band presented a play entitled “Golden Ball” for an hour and a half, where the play called for love and safety, and to fight the thought of extremism.

One of the goals of the theatrical work, according to “Rama” of Hakawati al Furat band, is to spread the smile among children, remove them from the periphery of extremist ideas, and mitigate the impact of terrorism on them.

According to the theater director and supervisor of the Hakawati al Furat “Dahham Al-Satam”, the aim of the theatrical performances is directed to peace and stability, and to spread love, education and happiness among children.

According to the director general of Aso news network “Sardar Malla Darwish,” that the fight against terrorism and extremism, need different forms of struggle, including theatrical work. Stressing that fighting extremism today is one of the most important priorities that must be taken permanent measures towards it.

Malla Darwish believes that the children affected by terrorism are in dire need of recreational ideas, relieve congestion revealed by the ideology of terrorism. “There are children inside the camp who are influenced by ISIS. We must work to rehabilitate them with intensive programs. We are seeing a change in their behavior. ”

Dahham Al-Satam says that the play is purposeful, including dances, music and movements that suit the age of children, contribute effectively to influence the mental image of children and translate into him the negative role of extremist thought. Adding that the harmony of children at the end of the performances and applause was evidence of the impact of the theater.
