Euphrates storyteller increases the joy of Raqqa children to undermine terrorism

The group “Hakawati Euphrates” (Euphrates storyteller) completed theatrical performances, for the month of October 2019, in three schools, targeting about 3,000 students and pupils of Raqqa children, including many schools.
Both teachers shared with the children the idea of theatrical performances, which, according to Maha Khalil, a teacher from Raqqa, created a fun atmosphere for children in Raqqa, in conjunction with the conditions in the region.
“We want there to be always fun plays with cartoon characters,” says Omar Ahmed, a child from Raqqa.
The Education committee of Raqqa Civil Council, fully supported the theatrical performances.
The performances took place during three consecutive days, where the plays “River, watching, the city of flowers and colors (Golden Ball)” were performed.
The play “River” in the school “Ammar bin Yasser” and the number of children attending more than 700 children, in addition to the administrative staff of the school.
The idea of the first play entitled “River”, to stick to the land and face the challenges and life difficulties facing society.
The second play was screened at Jawad Anzar School and the third in Musab Bin Omair School. The performances focused on fraternity, coexistence, love and the values of peace, cooperation and adherence to the land, facing challenges, and rejecting violence and extremism.
Dahham Al-Sattam, a theater director, said that the aim of holding performances in schools and targeting children is to “bring happiness to the thirsty hearts because of the conditions of war and the presence of extremism and terrorism.”
Dahham added that the performances contribute to inspiring children to the values of cooperation, love and peace, preserve the environment, build artistic taste for the public, and build the capacity of professional actors.
“By following the offers of the Euphrates storyteller, I learned how to love my country, protect my environment, and the importance of cooperation between friends,” said Ahed al-Mohammad, a student at a school in Raqqa.
Mohammed Abdul Salam, a spokesperson from Jawad Anzour School, said that the presentations presented the moral values of our students and psychological support and encouraged them to teach and love school. Demanding the group “storyteller Euphrates” to intensify their performances in schools. ”
In turn, the general coordinator of the storyteller “Shahla Al-Saeed” confirmed that the past two months the group has made performances in Deir Ezzor and Raqqa.
