Afrin: One person was killed and another injured in clashes between two armed factions

On Saturday, violent clashes erupted in Afrin between a group affiliated with the Mu’tasim faction and another group affiliated with the Ninth Division near Al-Qabban roundabout in the Ashrafiyeh neighborhood in Afrin as a result of a dispute between two people affiliated with the two mentioned factions.

The clashes resulted in the killing of “Mustafa al-Barsh,” a settler of Eastern Ghouta, who works in the military police force and a public taxi driver, and the injury of another man, “Eid al-Jassem,” who is from Hama, injured as a result of stray bullets.

According to the sources, the clashes started with a verbal altercation between two armed elements after one of them demanded financial dues to him from the other, who refused to return the money, which led to the outbreak of a fight between them, which developed into the use of weapons and the occurrence of violent clashes in the middle of the street.
